The biggest mistake is believing that fitness can be done only at the gym. Every effort of doing it from your home is ineffective. Sadly, many people think like this, but they are wrong! It is better to exercise at home and in the gym.
Second mistake is done usually by men, but women are also making it. At the beginning many people want to start with heavy weight and many repetitions. They believe that exercising like this will speed up your progress. The truth is that this can only slow down your progress. Your muscles are undeveloped at the beginning, and you must with easy exercises and slowly increasing weight and repetitions.
Every exercise has many details that are usually avoided. Reasons are the same as in the last mistake, people believe that it can speed up progress. This means that people don’t obey simple instructions like: doing that exercise properly, time and resting during exercising and eating advices. This will slow down your progress, and even worse, it will be ineffective for your muscles. You must pay attention to details, and you must obey them! Only then you can expect good results.
